Basic Strategy

Some basic tips before some other strategies:


Check-ins

• Wait for check-ins (~45min) to get max points
• Combine with three high point modifiers (low levels will get 500% modifiers and higher levels start to get 2000% and 2500% modifiers)
• Write something in the comment box (one letter is fine but a good comment is worth it and fun)
• Find close locations (easy for iPhones, not so much for iPod touch.)

=huge point check-ins! 


I've seen friends hit 80K points a turn with all the modifiers!


Notes: 

• Feel free to check-in at the same location as many times in a row as you want. There doesn't seem to be a penalty.
• After you check-in you big point score, check-in at least a few more times at locations to get some more item modifiers

Rent

• Collect every 30min to get max rent

Lotto

• Remember there is an UNDO button which means you get a free square! Some people miss that and think they lost. Just click the undo button in the lower left and voila, free turn. Don't choose the same tile again though.
• Get a free ticket every 30min, but you can't just leave MyTown on - you need to restart the app.
