Booyah Mytown iPhone Game Review!

Just an FYI - my reviews and posts will be thoughts and bullet points, no need for me to be grammatically correct and write long sentences. I give you the meat and potatoes without the veggies you hate.

First impressions: Started Booyah MyTown (2.0) about a month ago and was instantly hooked. Monopoly+foursquare/location-based check-ins on crack.

+Great game for people who love to level up

• level up points to get new backgrounds (though I don't quite know what it did) and more importantly to gain property slots
• level up properties to get more rent money! $_$

+Fun to check in and own locations you frequent

• Better than foursquare overall as nothing keeps me coming back to foursquare but some of their social features are much better

+Great when having a group of friends play to compete for most points per location and overall points and money

-Connecting via Facebook Connect allows you to see your friends points but there is no way to view your own point total! Very annoying.

-Lack of social integration

• So much potential with scoreboards and leader positions but you have no idea if you are in the lead or when you lose it
• Lack of messaging and friend interaction
• So much Twitter potential but not utilized

-no leaderboard of any type

I didn't get to play v1.0 but I heard it was pretty bad and 2.0 was a vast improvement.

Grade: 8/10

Note: Lots of improvements could be made but still good enough to keep me collecting my rent every 20/30min!
