MyTown 2.1.1 impressions

CRAZINESS! MADNESS! The game has a new life of it's own with lotto tickets with insane point values and modifiers with never before seen money/point values. It essentially was a new game for everyone.

+Updated graphics
+Upgraded gameplay which was both a good and bad thing
+More emphasis on location with the location modifier. Not helpful for ipod touch users but iphone users were hitting 80K point average check-ins.

+On a business side, the H&M integration was amazingly well done.

  • +ads were cleverly inserted as items with excellent in-app picture integration
  • -bonus item every time! overkill and made the game too easy
  • +branded H&M lotto was a nicely skinned idea
  • top of the check-in list = high traffic (but not as good as expected for an owner - ratings/popularity didn't jump although check-in stats suggest it should skyrocket)

-Super easy to level up (some will think it's a good thing but it really wasn't that difficult to level up).
-Lotto tickets, fun at first, but the amount of points attainable made it more worthwhile to get tickets than check-in. 90,000pt check ins?!
-building designs all over the place and no way to easily keep track of leveling

I hit MAX POINTS within the first day of the new version and hit level 11 buildings (max) after two or three days. What will keep me from playing after this? No social integration yet and no leaderboard information yet.

What were everyone else's thoughts?
